Conclusion

It has sometimes been frustrating but also enjoyable. I intend to keep up my blog and rework it for personal and professional use. I just hope I remember more that I forget! I also know that there will continue to be many more advancements. I just looked at my blog and realized I didn't keep a podcast link- so back to work. I am rather glad to be forced into this learning experience but am in awe of what changes are still coming. It boggles the mind and scares me also. There is so much out there that is harmful. How do we teach ourselves and the future generation to be selective?

Downloadable Books

I looked at all 4 sites and found some interesting titles. WHenever I get a computer at home I intend to explore these further. I still prefer a book!

Podcasts

I found several interesting podcasts through http://podcastalley.com/podcast and http://podcasts.yahoo.com for a daily audio bible and christian music. I really appreciate this.

Amish Quilts

Web 2.0 Award List

My favorites;
http://www.lulu.com (color palette)
http://colorblender.com/
http://www.swivel.com/ (charts)
I was on the following last week when I was doing some research-craigslist.org

Zoho

Didn't know these applications existed on-line. Signed up with Zoho.http://writer.zoho.com. I will need to go back and rework this site when I am finished so that it is usable for me.

Maryland Sandbox Wiki

My entry is- http://marylandlibrariessandbox.pbwiki.com/Flowers.

Libraray 2.0 & Web 2.0

Web 2.0 - thefirstpost.co.uk
http://www.oclc.org/nextspace/002/2.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Library_2.0
Now matter how I feel personally, the library will need to keep up with the rest of the web world. A lot of good ideas that will need to be applied directly to our libraries. Its part exciting but overwhelming also. The articles make me realize how far behind we really are.

Wikis

I find the wikis interesting and possibly useful. At the library there are numerous applications, reading lists, training etc. I also see a possibility that it could be sued for local history or family histories. http://www.seedwiki.com/

Del.icio.us & technorati

Just tried http://del.icio.us/flowersandquilts. This seems to be something that I will use!
Not very interested in: http://www.technorati.com/people/technorati/flowersandquilts.

7-23-07 here is the connection to my public bloglines account- http://www.bloglines.com/blog/irisandrose. Although I can see many advantages of having a list of sites I use most often, I am still overwhelmed by it and also a little resentful that I need to have it. Where is it all going to end?

7-2-3-07 I've finished "Things" 1-6 and this is # 7. I would like to spend more time with Flickr and the picture download on Blogger. Right now I need to wait for my new staff computer so I can download pics from the digital camera. Some extras to explore

7-3-07, well---- just a small mistake- I didn't select a template so how do I go back and do that? I realize that this is supposed to be fun, but-- it is just adding stress!
